junior snowboard

12 sundays @ lake louise

If you have a snowboarder aged 11 and under, this is the program for them. Recognizing the unique needs of younger snowboarders, based on the snowboard LTAD (long term athlete development) the goal of this program is to work with athletes at the FUNdamentals and Learn 2 Ride stages. Young snowboarders will work on building skills and having fun, encouraging them to be passionate about being active! The team will explore the entire mountain encouraging riders to excel in all aspects of riding.

Sessions start on Sunday January 9, 2011 and run for 12 weeks. (No program on Family Day). We meet at 9:30 am, ride until 11:30, have lunch and ride again until 3 pm.

Additional training and occasional event coaching is an optional add on for this program. Training is available on Tuesday and/or Thursday nights from 7-9pm for this program.

all mountain freeride

15 sundays @ lake louise

This program is for those riders that love to do it all, from ripping powder top to bottom, cliffs, hitting the park and going fast. This program aims to deal with riders in the Learn 2 Ride and Train 2 Train stages of development. The aim of the program is to have fun and promote stronger riding skills in a fun environment.

The program is more of a non-competitive program; however there are opportunities to compete throughout the season and this program can accommodate athletes that want to do this.

Additional training and occasional event coaching is an optional add on for this program. Training is available on Tuesday and/or Thursday nights from 7-9pm for this program.

western sbx program

This program is for riders who have competed in SBX locally or in Western Canada and are amateur or FIS. The program will focus on development of technical and tactical speed and air awareness skills.

The riders will focus on big mountain training as well as spending time training in the permanent SBX track at Lake Louise. The riders will compete in Western Canadian competitions on the Alberta Cup circuit and the BCSA provincial series.

The opportunity to attend Nationals for FIS riders as well as certain North American Cup events can also be arranged. The program fee includes ASA membership, fall dryland training, Christmas camp and coaching for Western Canadian events and Nationals.

Fee $2500.00 (Volunteering is required Includes ASA membership)

Race Deposit $500.00

Includes: * Training dates can be subject to change based on events/snow conditions*

• 22 evenings at COP

• 10 weeks dryland and gymnastics training (FIS dryland training in gym, Non FIS outside doing activities one time per week plus gymnastics)

• Coaching at Alberta and BC Race Series and Western NOR AM events

• On snow training at Lake Louise beginning Nov 14 (snow permitting)

• 3 day Christmas Camp

• 3 Day National Camp (for qualifying FIS riders)

• ASA membership

Travel fees will be deducted from race deposit, additional deposits will be required throughout season. Additional event coaching available for advanced FIS racers.

rmm all mtn freestyle program

This program is for accomplished riders who want to excel in all aspects of freestyle riding, and enjoy to shred the whole mountain while doing this. The program will focus on freestyle riding both in the terrain park and shredding the entire mountain. Riders will get the chance to compete if they choose to, the team will attend selected Western Canadian events in both halfpipe and slopestyle/rail jams. The team will also spend time learning techniques to ride the full mountain safely and perhaps have the opportunity to learn a little bit about the backcountry.

Additional training is available on Tuesday nights from 7-9pm at COP for this program.

• Saturday and Sunday training (starts Nov.13 weather permitting, 34 weekend days on snow)

performance sbx program

program starts immediately

This program is for those athletes that have been competing at the National level in SBX and are looking to make the step to both the National Team and World Cup competition. The program is geared towards full time athletes who are going to make training a priority in their life. The team will be based in Canmore, Alberta, training mainly out of Lake Louise with dryland training taking place in Canmore.

The team will be training full time and the schedule will be dependant on the time of year and the event schedule that the team is following. The team will follow the North American Cup series, as well as certain World Cup events when athletes are qualified.

Fee: $4250.00 (athletes must volunteer at Club Casino Includes ASA membership)

Race Deposit: Club requires an initial $1000.00 race deposit which will be drawn down throughout the season. The travel spending will depend on number of races and locations. Travel fees will be deducted from race deposit, additional deposits will be required throughout season.

Tues and Thurs Evenings at COP

The club offers additional training opportunities on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at COP from 7-9pm. There are two options to choose from here Tuesday’s only (11 weeks) or Tuesday and Thursday evenings (11 weeks). Both start the first week of December. These options can be taken with both the junior sb program as well as the all mtn freeride program.

There is the optional add on of Tuesday evenings for the RMM freestyle program and this will also be 11 weeks, training with this specific group and can only be combined with the full RMM program.

Fee: $300.00 Tuesday evenings (11 weeks starting first week of Dec.)

or $600.00 Tuesday and Thursday (11 weeks starting first week of Dec.)
